Geodesic Pendant Lamp commission

My biggest and most rewarding assignment to date! These three geodesic lamps – the largest of which measures a whopping 100 cm in diameter were recently commissioned by a neighbour after admiring a smaller prototype version I’d made and seeing its potential. They’d been looking for some time for the perfect lamp for their beautiful home – little did they know that three doors away I’d been developing just that!

Size: 100 cm, 80 cm and 50 cm

The pendant lamps are made from Birch Triplex wood which is very light, strong and flexible. They each consist of ninety individual pieces which I cut and shaped by hand from one enormous sheet. The finished design has culminated from a series of tests, partial successes and total failures until finally arriving at a product I can honestly say I’m very proud of!

40 cm Geodesic Pendant Lamp

This unique pendant lamp is completely handmade out of high quality Birch Triplex.
It consists of 30 hand cut, riveted struts which are flexed and interconnect to form this elegant spherical geodesic pendant lamp.

32 cm Geodesic Pendant Lamp

Measuring just 32 cm, this original ceiling lamp is quite small and therefore ideal for compact spaces such as hallways, stairwells and washrooms etc. It is completely handmade out of high quality Birch Triplex and has a contemporary, modern appearance which when lit, emits playful geometric shadows on any adjacent walls – a real eye-catcher!
